    Thanks for your invite. It’s great to see you organising local poetry. Unfortunately we’re already booked for Nov 23rd. But please keep us up to date with further meetings.
    My partner and I run a poetry reading group in Berkhamsted on the first Wed of every month at The Kings Arms. We circulate the poems which we’re going to look at beforehand. They are published, classic and modern; so it’s rather a like a book group. Could you ask anyone interested to contact us at suehampton@btinternet.com please?
    We’re also running a poetry reading evening on Nov 19th. Perhaps you could circulate the details below by email?

    An All Saints’ Social event in support of Christian Aid.

    Come along to an evening of classic and modern poems, hosted by Leslie Tate and members of Berkhamsted’s Poetry Reading Group.
    Enjoy the helpful introductions, the range of poems – sacred and secular – and the sensitive power of great thoughts beautifully expressed.
    Hear poems you didn’t know and reacquaint yourself with poems you know and love.
    Or simply sit back and enjoy poetry live!
