Oxford Special: 17th August 2013

The next Fast Culture event will be at the Albion Beatnik Bookshop in Oxford on 17th August, 7.30pm. Entry is £2. It will feature:

James Brookes: winner of an Eric Gregory award, author of the ‘Sins of the Leopard’ (Salt Publishing) which was shortlisted in the Michael Murphy Memorial Prize, and now longlisted in the Dylan Thomas Prize.

Amy Key: one third of The Shuffle night at the Poetry Café, editor of ‘Poems in Which’ and ‘The Great British Bard Off’, and author of upcoming collection ‘Luxe’ (Salt Publishing).

Charlotte Newman: author of Selected Poems (Annexe) and winner of Best Poetry Pamphlet at the Saboteur Awards 2013.

Claire Trévien: author of The Shipwrecked House (Penned in the Margins), which is longlisted for the Guardian First Book Award, co-editor of Sabotage Reviews, Verse Kraken, and co-organizer of Penning Perfumes.

Tori Truslow: sci-fi writer and co-editor of Verse Kraken, specially commended in the 2012 James White Award, currently running the queer track at new convention Nine Worlds.

James Webster: performance poetry editor at Sabotage Reviews. His first solo show ’50 shades of Webster’ debuted at the Cheltenham Poetry Festival.
